This image is from the second panel of Elective Affinities [link] . I inked and colored this separately, ran the "Displace" filter (using a broken mirror map), and then pasted it into the comic. I didn't pay too much attention to the details since I was just going to shatter the image anyway.

Those are drawings of a real lamp, table, and headboard. These are from the hotel room I stayed in at the Grand Resort Hotel in Tennessee. I had a ton of pictures from the two Gatherings I went to so I figured I might as well use them somewhere!

The broken bed is a true story. I actually have a picture with almost that exact same background and the missing bed. Such a cheap hotel!

As you can see, the image is inverted. That's a bottle of Vanilla Coke. The last time I had one was in Tennesee... since they stopped selling it in Puerto Rico! Damn it!!
